About the Event
Ryszard Wojciechowski a world-renowned Polish sculptor and painter born in Poland and later made Vancouver his home. He was commissioned to create the monument for the city of North Vancouver called "Raphsody of the North Shore" and Joe Bustemente Trumpet located in the Shipyards, North Vancouver.
The “Rhapsody of the North Shore” depicts a harpist performing a musical tale of the North Shore. It can be viewed at the Centennial Theatre in North Vancouver.
Ryszard left behind a rich legacy of sculpture, painting, and poetry that immortalizes his creative will and spirit. He received many prestigious awards for his sculptures, paintings, drawings and metalwork.
